From Artisanal Pit to Export-Ready Metal

An integrated mining house spanning exploration, drilling, active production, processing and compliantexport. Tantel develops large-scale gold, rare earth and critical minerals projects and operates producinggold mines, processing and trade under one platform.

The Opportunity: Scale Meets Scarcity

Gold has repriced to historic highs. Rare earths and critical minerals now sit at the centre of Western supply chainstrategy. Tanzania is one of the few jurisdictions offering both at scale: a top-four African gold producer with acentury of mining history, world-class developed assets operated by global majors, and an estimated 80 percent ofits mineral endowment still undiscovered. Local-content rules and licensing barriers keep newcomers out. The valueaccrues to operators holding licences, relationships, equipment and export channels. Tantel holds all four.

Two Models, One Platform

Tantel runs two complementary models under a single mining platform. In development, after years of disciplined sourcing, Tantel acquires explored yet undeveloped deposits with defined upside and moves them toward bankable resources through active drilling programmes across gold, rare earth elements and critical minerals, with multi-decade mine lives, billion-dollar in-ground values and in-country processing designed in from the outset. In production, Tantel operates producing gold mines in partnership with the country's leading licensed miners, deploying the machinery, operating the plants and purchasing output at transparent market prices. Mechanisation lifts production up to three times over manual methods, and every gram flows through documented custody to export from Dar es Salaam to LBMA refineries.

Platform Infrastructure

Proprietary Systems

Every site operates on technology engineered in-house: production tracking across tonnage, grade and recovery; chain-of-custody records from pit through assay to export; equipment telemetry; and a trading platform governing pricing, settlement and counterparty exposure. Institutional oversight in a sector that still runs on paper.

Operating Standard

Responsible Mining

Mercury and child labour are prohibited at every site. Environmental practice is documented, training and monitoring are continuous, and certification pathways align with LBMA responsible sourcing and the Responsible Minerals Initiative. The model professionalises artisanal mining in partnership with the miners who form the majority of the sector.
